Music has always felt like magic to me. A single tone, texture or small sound can grow into an entire piece of music that moves people or helps someone out there to keep going.
For more than ten years I have spent almost every day writing, composing, recording and mixing my own music. Over time I realized that mixing is the moment where the original idea of a song truly takes shape. When approached with care and sensitivity, it allows the artistic vision behind a track to fully unfold.
My path into mixing started through my own music project, Jennifer Touch. Early on I often felt misunderstood by mixing engineers - demos would return sounding too polished or too bright, losing the raw pulse and emotional depth that defined the music. So I learned to mix myself.
Inspired by pioneers like Conny Plank and his analogue studio approach, my hybrid workflow combines analogue character with digital precision, always focusing on preserving the emotional core and character of a track. Especially music in the wide field of Post-Punk needs a special approach to a result that is not sounding perfectly clean but shallow.
I operate from my own studio in Berlin and hold a certification as an Audio Engineer, with experience as an intern at Hansa Studios. My background in visual arts and design (M.A. Integrated Design, Bauhaus Dessau) continues to shape the way I approach sound - thinking in textures, structures and visual composition of music.
If you're looking for a personal session to shape your process, some special production or a mix that supports the emotional core of your music rather than polishing it away, feel free to..
